Managed Cloud Backup
Identify the business data and supported systems requiring protection, alongside any existing backup arrangements. Agree which workloads belong in the managed backup scope before configuring protection.
Business Technology
A backup is only useful when the business can recover from it.
BIONit helps organizations protect critical systems and cloud data with managed backup solutions designed around what needs to be protected, how quickly it may need to be recovered and how backup failures will be identified.
Review Your Backup StrategyIdentify the business data and supported systems requiring protection, alongside any existing backup arrangements. Agree which workloads belong in the managed backup scope before configuring protection.
Provide independent backup protection for Microsoft 365 data such as Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams where included in the agreed solution.
Review which business-critical servers, desktops and laptops require system-level or file-level backup. Confirm the supported environment and recovery approach for each workload in the agreed solution.
BIONit reviews backup status and responds to failures according to the agreed service scope. Agree how failed or incomplete jobs will be followed up; a successful job alone does not establish that every recovery requirement has been met.
Plan recovery around the protected workload and available file, folder or system recovery capabilities. Where restore testing is included in the engagement, agree what will be tested and evaluate the result against the recovery requirements.
Discuss how much data loss and interruption the business can tolerate, alongside retention needs. Use those requirements to agree backup frequency, recovery priorities and the solution scope; recovery objectives depend on the workload and configuration.
Supporting technology
BIONit uses established data-protection platforms including N-able Cove Data Protection where appropriate. Cove provides centralized cloud-based backup and recovery capabilities across supported business systems and Microsoft 365 workloads.
